Wrestlemania XL: Rock Returns, Lil Wayne Performs, And More!

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson returned to the ring with Roman Reigns.

WrestleMania XL kicked off with a bang at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, drawing in a star-studded crowd that included Lil Baby, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, Wale, and comedian-actor Druski. The main event featured the highly anticipated return of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to the wrestling ring, teaming up with Universal Champion Roman Reigns against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in a thrilling tag team match.

The match lived up to its hype, with special effects, intense action, and even a moment where Rhodes executed The Rock's iconic 'Rock Bottom' move on him. The Rock and Reigns emerged victorious, showcasing their dominance in the ring.

Lil Baby's young son, Loyal, was captured enthusiastically cheering on The Rock during the match, adding to the excitement of the event. The Rock, in a post-match press conference, expressed his satisfaction with his performance and the preparation that went into the event.

Aside from the wrestling action, the event also featured a musical performance by Lil Wayne, who energized the crowd with his hit song 'A Milli.' The star-studded lineup continued with Grammy-winning R&B singer Coco Jones singing the national anthem and Motionless in White performing WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley's theme song.

Ripley herself had a standout moment, successfully defending her title against Becky Lynch in a hard-fought match. The event also saw other exciting matches, including Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Jade Cargill's victory over Damage CTRL and Sami Zayn claiming the Intercontinental title from Gunther.

Overall, WrestleMania XL night one delivered on its promise of being a spectacle, combining thrilling wrestling matches with electrifying performances, making it a memorable experience for both the audience in attendance and viewers at home.
