Wrestlemania set to take place over two days as WWE press on with elaborate plan despite coronavirus outbreak

WrestleMania is now set to take place over two nights next month as the WWE continue to put on shows despite the Coronavirus outbreak.

Record Sport reported on Thursday that the biggest event in wrestling wouldn't be cancelled on April 5th as a result of the pandemic, and would instead take place behind closed doors at the WWE Performance Centre.

Now, just two days on, the company has now confirmed that the Showcase of the Immortals will be extended to two nights over the weekend of April 4th and 5th.

WWE has also announced that they intend to hold WrestleMania over multiple closed-set locations and will be hosted by three-time Super Bowl Champion Rob Gronkowski.

All locations will only see essential personnel be in attendance in order to ensure staff safety is maintained during this Coronavirus outbreak.

WWE has yet to announce what other locations they intend to use other than the Performance Centre.

As with anything related to this pandemic, things appear to be changing on a daily basis and we will update wrestling fans on any major updates as WrestleMania appears to be the one major sporting event going ahead over the next couple of months.
