The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they have two appliances and a heavy rescue unit in attendance.

Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported and the occupants all managed to get out of the cars by themselves.

The roadway remains blocked with drivers being urged to avoid the area as rescue crews continue to make the stricken vehicles safe.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.35pm on Thursday, 17 June, officers were called to the Minard Road area of Glasgow, following a road crash involving three cars.

“There are no reported serious injuries, however the road is currently blocked.”
