Today, the Raiders announced the signing of wide receiver Ryan Grant from the Colts. Grant is a five-year veteran who has spent time in Washington and Indianapolis.
At the announcement of the signing, the contract details were not yet known. However, thanks to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, we know how long Grant’s deal is and for how much.
Grant will receive up to $2.5 million with incentives, which likely means this is close to a veteran minimum contract. Like most of their other deals, expect Grant to receive very little guaranteed money as he is going to need to prove that he can produce to reach the $2.5 million. Yet again, this is another smart signing by Mike Mayock as there is little downside to bringing in Grant.
