Every year since 2013, members of Pro Football Writers of America’s Chicago chapter elect their Bears Good Guy award winner, the player that is most cooperative with the media.
This year’s winner is receiver Allen Robinson.
Considering the Bears’ tumultuous season, it would’ve been easy to let frustrations get the best of him. But Robinson has remained a class act throughout what’s been a difficult season. He’s been a true leader in every sense of the word, both on and off the field. Robinson is also the Bears’ nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was runner-up for the award, considering his honesty and how he’s handled himself with class despite difficult circumstances this season.
Past winners include cornerback Prince Amukamara (2018), tight end Zach Miller (2017), cornerback Tracy Porter (2016), offensive lineman Matt Slauson (2015), safety Ryan Mundy (2014) and quarterback Josh McCown (2013).
