Wowcher's Mystery Holiday deal is back for 2021 and 2022

The upcoming restart of international travel has opened the door for the return of Wowcher's Mystery Holiday Deal.

Boris Johnson has reiterated that he sees no reason to change the planned roadmap out of lockdown, with international travel expected to return in some form from Monday, May 17.

Wowcher's decision to bring back their mystery holiday deal is indicative of growing confidence.

As things stand, travel abroad will return under a 'traffic light system' with infection and vaccine rates among the list of criteria on which colour countries will be listed under.

It is also expected that the 'Declaration to Travel' form will soon be officially revoked.

If you've never heard of Wowcher's Mystery Holiday Deal, it works pretty much as you might expect it to.

Customers pay either £99 or £129 and are drawn to a holiday destination at random.

Destinations include popular European cities and resorts from Lisbon to the Costa Brava, but also include others further afield like Thailand and Dubai.

If you're feeling spontaneous enough, you can check out what you need to know here.

The draw for where you'll end up takes place one week today, April 21.

Wowcher's getaway offer officially gets underway from August, but much is likely to depend on the ongoing situation in Europe where the bulk of mystery destinations are.

To offer something by way of reassurance, the Terms & Conditions state that "if you are drawn a destination which is added to the UK quarantine list, you will be offered a suitable alternative".
