Nottingham Forest have been tipped as a team to be feared, should they find themselves in the Championship play-offs.
The Reds returned to action with a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, as the Championship restarted following a three-month suspension due to the coronavirus crisis.
Joe Lolley’s strike looked to have wrapped up three points for the visitors, only for a late lapse in concentration to see Connor Wickham level for the Owls at the death.
With eight games left and a 10-point gap to the top two, automatic promotion is looking a tough ask for Sabri Lamouchi’s men.
They do, though, have a five-point cushion on seventh-placed Blackburn Rovers as they sit fifth in the table.
Lamouchi will become the first manager since Billy Davies’ first spell in charge to see out a full season at the City Ground regardless.
And having signed a new contract, Quest pundit - and former West Ham United striker - Dean Ashton believes he has made a big impact on the banks of the Trent.
“I’d like to think the Nottingham Forest fans will be delighted with that,” he said of Lamouchi’s new deal, on Quest’s Championship highlights show.
“Because not only has he brought stability, I think he’s brought passion as well from the sidelines and a certain way of playing.
“I wouldn’t want to come up against them in a two-legged play-off with how they are defensively.”
