Would You Take Boise State To Win More Than 10 Games?

Would You Take Boise State To Win More Than 10 Games?

One betting outlet is extremely high on the Broncos

Maybe fewer than 10 wins is your choice.

We all know that the offseason is incredibly long and tough to handle for college football fans. We have reached an annual benchmark of the offseason as BetOnline has released their over/under win projections for a few (29) of the teams in the FBS.

These win totals are only based off of the 12 game regular season, not taking into account any possible conference championships or bowl games. Among those 29 teams, there were only 2 Group of 5 teams included. Those 2 teams were Boise State and Central Florida. Both teams were projected to win 10 games.

A 10 win projection might seem high for the Broncos, after losing a four-year starter Brett Rypien, talented running back Alexander Mattison to the NFL and their top two wide receivers to graduation. Most Bronco fans would be pleased with 10 regular season after all of those loses.

Ten wins would also mean that Boise State would for sure win one out of their three toughest games (Florida State, BYU, and Utah State). Most importantly it would give the Broncos an excellent shot at satisfying their top two team goals in winning the Mountain Division and reaching the Mountain West Championship Game.

BetOnline’s platform is of course designed for sports enthusiasts to place bets on their favorite teams or teams that they feel have the best odds for successful bets. The question is should bettors take the over or the under on the Broncos?

Boise State managed 10 wins in 2018, despite their bowl game being canceled. While their schedule is arguably easier in 2019, as they avoid SDSU, Nevada, and Fresno State, it would be quite a task to win 11 of 12 regular season games.

Then again, it is always difficult to count the Broncos out at any time, as they have won double-digit games 16 times since 1999, and have had ten or more wins 11 times in that same span. The best bet might be to simply place your money on another team with a safer value.
