Would you eat an 'Impossible Whopper'? Burger King are trialling a completely vegan burger

Burger King customers can be seen turning the air blue in a new video released by the company, which shows committed Whopper fans trying a new, vegan version made with 'impossible' meat.

And no, it isn't an April Fool.

The plant-based meat made by Impossible Foods is supposed to be the most convincing on the market, and that certainly seems to be the case based on the video evidence.

In the ad, the meat eaters are shocked when they're told that they've just eaten a vegan whopper.

One man says he has eaten about two Whoppers a week for the last 20 years, and insists he'll be able to tell the difference between the real deal and an imitation.

But then he has to eat his words and say it "tasted exactly like how a Whopper should taste."

Another customer simply repeats "this is a f***ing cow", and has to be repeatedly told that it isn't. Another man says "it's made of f***ing beef right here, you see that?"

Edinburgh vegans who are keen to give the Impossible Whopper a try will have to travel quite far, though: at the moment the trial is only taking place in St. Louis.

However, given the response, it's surely only a matter of time before they're rolled out in the UK.
