Would Ndamukong Suh make sense for Bengals in free agency?

The Cincinnati Bengals have a need at defensive tackle still, which partially explains all the hype for a potential reunion with Larry Ogunjobi.

But if that doesn’t happen for any number of reasons, the Bengals might end up looking at other veteran free agents or even the trade market. The latter is where they found B.J. Hill, who broke out last year and now has the big-money extension.

The former is where they might find a guy like Ndamukong Suh.

Suh’s in the headlines right now because he just appeared on ESPN’s “NFL Live” and said he wants to continue his career despite the Buccaneers likely being out of the picture.

Interestingly, the Bengals are one of those teams that veterans like Suh might view as contenders and be willing to sign one-year pacts with. Suh, 35, registered a 49.4 PFF grade last year with six sacks.

All the Bengals really need from the market is a guy who can rotate with Hill while he spotlights as the main pass-rusher next to D.J. Reader so that they’re not only relying on rookie Zach Carter. Meaning, a cheap deal for Suh could make a lot of sense, provided the Buccaneers really aren’t an option anymore and he’s hunting for a contender to join.
