Would-be Class A drug dealer, 73, appears in court

A 73-year-old Redfield man appeared in court after admitting intending to push drugs.

David Radford, of Moorfields House, has pleaded guilty to possessing Class A drugs heroin and crack cocaine on January 11.

The pensioner appeared in the dock at Bristol Crown Court alongside 36-year-old Kathleen Webb, of Ecclestone House in St Philips, who has pleaded guilty to the same charges.

Radford, who was unrepresented, said there was a problem acquiring his national insurance number and asked Judge Michael Longman how he could find it out.

The judge suggested Radford liaise with solicitors or go online.

Because Radford said he wished to be legally represented, and to enable him to arrange legal aid, the judge adjourned sentence on the pair until March 15.

He remanded both in custody.
