When you order takeout, you expect your food to be freshly prepared, not burnt or spoiled. Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case, after one man showed the questionable potato he received from Texas Roadhouse.
What’s wrong with this Texas Roadhouse potato?
The video kicks off with Texas Roadhouse customer Stephen (@stephenmcrabtree) standing in his kitchen.
“So, my wife usually gets us Texas Roadhouse or Chop House. Lately, it’s been more Texas Toadhouse ’cause they’re usually pretty good at checking everything,” he says.
However, not this time.
“Let me show you the potato they sent home with my wife,” he says. Flipping the camera, he shows a dark potato on top of a takeout tray, a clear indicator that something is off. “One of the telltale things should’ve been how dark it was,” he says, turning the potato where the potato skin is nearly black.
But that isn’t the worst part.
“Look at this,” he says. Then the content creator opens the baked potato to reveal several black, burnt, moldy chunks inside, with a large piece in the center meshed in starch.
“What in the world is even that?” Stephen asks, confused, pushing the starch off the center black piece. “This is by far the worst potato I have ever seen. So, thanks for the wonderful potato, I guess,” he says.
What did viewers think?
Most of them cracked jokes about Texas Roadhouse’s potato’s appearance.
“Question: did she order the ‘potato la cremation?’” one viewer quipped.
“That tater looks like it fell behind the oven 6 months ago and the cleaning crew just put it back in the oven with the others. OMG,” a second commented.
“Did she select ‘Well Done’ for the potato as well as the steak?” a third jested.
On a serious note, others were outraged that Stephen was served decaying food.
“They sold you a rotten potato! Let them know!” one commenter remarked.
“They had to cut it so they would see it but they let that go through. That’s messed up,” another concurred.

These can show up anytime, whether it’s immediately or within a few weeks, so it’s crucial to monitor your symptoms.
Don’t ever take a chance on eating anything that looks suspicious. Instead, bring it to the establishment’s attention and receive a refund.
