'Worst kit ever' - Chelsea fans are saying the same thing as Nike 2020/21 kit is released

Chelsea fans have been giving their reaction to the new 2020/21 kit released by the club this morning (Wednesday).

The new shirt is a simple blue design, with darker blue trims on both the collar, the sleeves and down the side of the shirt. It will be worn with blue shorts and white socks.

The blue trim down the side of the shirt is embossed with “Pride of London.”

Chelsea also have new sponsors for this season, with mobile network 3 taking over from Yokohama Tyres on the front of the shirt.

The kit is made from 100% recycled materials including recycled plastic bottles and will be worn for the first time by Chelsea when they take on West Ham United in the Premier League tonight at the London Stadium.

Blues’ striker Tammy Abraham seemed impressed with the new kit, telling the official website: “I think we will certainly be the best dressed team next season.”

However, fans on social media don’t seem to agree with the forward with the reaction mostly being a negative one.

Chelsea will be hoping that the new kit brings them some luck against the Hammers as they look to pull away from Wolves and Manchester United in the race for a top-four spot.

There are currently two-points separating the Blues and United in fifth place after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men recorded a 3-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday night.

A win could even take Chelsea into third place, depending on how Leicester City get on against Everton at Goodison Park.
