Worst Christmas cracker jokes revealed in new poll

Festive staple: Christmas crackers (Picture: Pixabay)

They are known for being cringe-worthy — but now the worst Christmas cracker joke has been named.

A poll of 2,000 Londoners found the least funny gag to be: “Who hides in a bakery at Christmas? A mince spy.”

The runner-up was: “What do you get if you cross Santa with a duck? A Christmas quacker”, while the third worst was: “What’s a horse’s favourite TV show? NEIGH-bours”.

The poll, for Currys PC World, found that one in five Londoners laugh out of politeness when bad jokes are read out.

But more than a third said they love the Christmas tradition.

Stand-up comedian Gary Delaney said people should swap their cracker joke for a funnier alternative. His suggestion was: “Who hides in a bakery at Christmas? A sensible turkey.”
