An urgent search and rescue operation was launched this morning after a woman went missing in an Irish mountain range.
Emergency services had rushed to the Comeragh Mountains in Co Waterford to help find the female walker.
The woman has not been seen since Sunday.
Local search and rescue crews are at the scene alongside members of the gardai.
The Rescue 117 Coast Guard helicopter was also called in to help with the search.
The South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association wrote on Facebook: "South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association, Search and Rescue Dog Association (Ireland), Rescue 117 and An Garda Síochána are currently involved in an operation.
"A female walker is missing in the Comeragh mountains since yesterday.
"We would ask walkers in the Nire Valley, Rathgormack or Mahon Falls areas to keep an eye out for anything unusual and to contact the Gardai or SEMRA."
However, just before lunchtime, search teams said that weather conditions were proving difficult.
