Worrying moment Edinburgh gang take child on off-road rampage in park

Images surfacing online have shown the shocking moment when a gang of masked yobs on motorbikes took a child out for a spin.

The reported incident happened in Sighthill Park and showed the group on motorbikes circling the park in groups.

Pictures show at least ten riders on different motorcycles tearing through the park in the south west of the city.

One of the images shows a young kid sitting astride the front of a bike in front of the older rider.

It comes as motorcycle gangs have become an increasing menace in the city.

The bikers have been spotted in Southside, Tollcross, Drylaw, Lothianburn and several other parts of the capital.

Locals have seen them weaving dangerously through traffic and narrowly avoiding road users as they perform stunts.

Residents say they have seen the groups swearing at innocent locals and trying to instigate a fight with anyone that crosses them.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, a witness said: "They are just so arrogant and loud, revving their little engines, swearing at anyone, swerving around traffic, trying to start fights with anyone seemingly unprovoked."

Another said: "The balaclava boy brats again? I'm convinced they're all 17-year-olds with rampant acne, hence the need to cover their faces up. I mean, do they think this makes them look like mean boys or something? Pathetic.”
