Worried Strictly fans speculate after noticing judges and hosts are all wearing black

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left worried and confused this evening after noticing that all of the judges and hosts were wearing black this evening.

Usually, presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman and the judges rock up in a colourful assortment of glitz and glamour for Strictly.

But during the results show of Musicals Week tonight, their outfits struck a somber note with their dark clothing.

Bruno Tonioli later joined Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood via video link and was also wearing black.

Baffled fans took to Twitter to comment, with some suggesting that it may be a reference to the blackout of struggling theatres across the country due to lockdown.

Meanwhile others believed that it could be to pay tribute to a death in the cast and crew.

One tweeted: "Why are Tess, Claudia and all the judges in black? Thinking face #strictly."

While another asked: " Is there a reason they’re all dressed in black tonight ? #Strictly."

A third wrote: "What have I missed? Why are they all wearing black?"

Another speculated: "#Strictly has someone died ....all in black Thinking face."

"Did someone die in here? All wearing black?? #Strictly" one questioned.

A fan questioned: "All three judges and the two presenters all in black tonight, is this a nod to theatres being dark? #strictly."

*Strictly returns next Saturday on BBC One
