'Worried sick' friend left in tears after pal vanishes before date in Glasgow

A ''worried sick' friend has been left in tears as he searches for his pal who vanished before a date in Glasgow at the weekend.

Craig Lamont from Livingston went missing on Saturday and was last seen between at 10 and 10.30am.

It is believed the 38-year-old was catching a train to Glasgow for a date in the city centre.

Concerns are growing for his safety as he has not been heard from since and is battling some personal problems with 'very little cash' on him.

Now pal and work mate Ross Cunningham has posted a frantic appeal to bring his pal home.

He said: "Im worried sick I have been in tears and everything he is a daddy brother and a son.

"Don't care what he had done, it's his safety I'm worried for.

"He was apparently getting the train to Glasgow for a date.

"Last known contact was made to me via a Whatsapp at half eight.

"His phone is now off Craig is wearing blue jeans and a shirt shaved head back and side with sort cut hair on top. He as two tattoos on the forearms and large tattoo on back. He stands about 6ft tall with a average build.

"He has very little cash on him.

"He has now been missing for three nights and four days we are all getting concerned for his safety if anybody know is whereabouts or location please pm me or contact Police Scotland."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are looking to trace Craig Lamont, 38, from Livingston who was last seen in the area on Saturday 5th of September 2020.

"He is believed to have been heading through to the Glasgow area by public transport.

"Described as 6ft tall, slim build, short brown hair and facial hair.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police on 101 quoting incident number 1549 of 7th September 2020."
