Gareth Southgate has been kept in the dark by Manchester United over Harry Maguire’s chances of playing in the Euros.
Southgate has also warned England “risk breaking” Jack Grealish as the pair remain big injury concerns ahead of the tournament.
United captain Maguire has been out with an ankle injury which has seen him miss the run-in and Southgate says his club have been reluctant to share any information because it might “leak” and help opponents ahead of the Europa League final.
England boss Southgate said: “Understandably from the club perspective, they’ve got a huge final.

"And it hasn’t been too easy for us to get information. And I totally understand that.
"We will know more in the next couple of days really.
“Of course when you’ve got a European final and information for the opposition is so tight and things do leak I understand why clubs want to keep their cards close to their chest.”
Maguire is crucial for England and him being fully fit is vital for their Euro hopes.

There is clearly also a major concern over Grealish who has started and finished just one game for Aston Villa in the last three months.
Grealish had a shin problem which needed rest but did play in front of Southgate on Sunday and the England boss admits they will have to be extra cautious.
Southgate added: “I don't see him as a as an injury doubt.
"I see a realistic view in terms of where can we get to from where he is in the space of two weeks, in terms of 90 minutes 90 minutes 90 minutes?
“We risk breaking him..
"You know the injury was an overload injury, we can't overload him, so we've got to manage that really correctly for his welfare, as well as for performance.”
