World Snooker Championship final heading for tense finish

  • Wu Yize will take a 13-12 lead into the final session of his World Snooker Championship final against Shaun Murphy.
  • The 22-year-old Chinese star held a 10-7 lead prior to Monday’s afternoon session, but Murphy reeled off five straight frames to move 12-10 up.
  • However, Wu battled back to take the final three frames as he established a narrow lead over his English opponent.
  • The final session of the best-of-35 frames match will be played on Monday night, with the action getting underway shortly after 7pm, and will be available on BBC Two as well as TNT Sports.
  • Murphy is aiming to win his second world title, 21 years on from his first, while Wu is bidding to become world champion for the first time in his career.
