World Series: Watch Alex Bregman blow open Game 4 with a grand slam

Astros star Alex Bregman was quiet offensively in the ALCS, but his bat is coming alive at just the right time for Houston in the World Series. Bregman hit a two-run homer in a Game 2 loss against the Nationals, but on Saturday night at Nationals Park, his second homer of the series all but sealed a Game 4 win.

With the Astros up 4-1 in the seventh, Nationals pitcher Tanner Rainey walked two batters to open the inning before getting Jose Altuve to fly out. The Nationals turned to Fernando Rodney, who immediately allowed a single to Michael Brantley – his third hit of the game – to load the bases. Two pitches later, Bregman launched a grand slam just inside the foul pole in left to blow open the game.

An Astros win on Saturday would ensure that the series will return to Houston, and will also ensure that both Gerrit Cole and Justin Verlander will make second starts in the series.
