World Series Game 7: Starting lineups for the Nationals and Astros

The home team has yet to win a home game in the 2019 World Series, which has led to a winner-take-all Game 7 on Wednesday night in Houston.

Three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer will take the mound for the Nationals in Game 7. Scherzer was initially scheduled to start Game 5, but he was scratched due to neck and back spasms that left him unable to pitch. Scherzer received a cortisone injection in the hopes that the Nationals would still be playing by the time it took effect, and he tested his arm on Tuesday. Scherzer’s regular catcher Kurt Suzuki will also be in the lineup after missing two games with a hip flexor injury.

[UPDATE]: The Nationals have scratched Suzuki from the lineup. Yan Gomes will step in to catch Scherzer.

Zack Greinke will get the start for the Astros, after pitching 4.2 innings in Game 3. Greinke did not get a decision in the Astros’ win, but he allowed 7 hits and 1 ER, while striking out 6.

Here are the lineups for Game 7:
