World Series: Atlanta’s Ozzie Albies won a free taco for everyone in the first inning of Game 1

Atlanta Braves fans can thank Jorge Soler for becoming the first player to lead off the World Series with a home run, giving his team a 1-0 lead over the Houston Astros. The rest of us will be fawning over what his teammate, Ozzie Albies, did two batters later.

After beating out a single tapped back to the mound, the Braves’ infielder promptly stole second base and won free tacos from Taco Bell for everyone.

The long-running promotion offers a Doritos Locos Taco if a player steals a base in the World Series. Albies completed the task as quickly as he could, providing a free bite at any Taco Bell location in America on November 4.

The mad dash for an extra 90 feet put Albies in a truly exclusive group of MLB players to reward their fans with free food during the World Series. Only 11 other pro athletes have the honor of winning a free taco, including Trae Turner, Kevin Durant, Cameron Maybin, Francisco Lindor, Lorenzo Cain and Jacoby Ellsbury.

Mookie Betts has even done it twice!

Go ahead and plan your day around free tacos on November 4 now and don’t let Albies hard work go to waste.
