'World's hottest maths teacher' Pietro Boselli who wowed adoring students is now modelling for Armani

An Italian maths teacher who reached global fame after his adoring students shared his pictures online is now a model for Armani.

Pietro Boselli, 27, caused a flurry of excitement among students when he started teaching maths at University College London.

The teacher, from the city of Negrar, in the north-east Italian province of Verona, was so popular his students started uploading photos of him on social media.

He was then entered into the sexiest teacher in the world competition, which he won.

Boselli, who has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UCL, says he always dreamed of modelling, but chose to follow an academic path instead.

He said: "In a way I was ashamed, I thought that the people from the academic world would look down on me."

Showing that somebody can be blessed with both brains and looks, he assures his secret for staying in shape and having a beautiful body is training and a "strict diet".

Now the mathematician, who first modelled for Armani at the age of seven has put down his board pen to sign for the designer label once more.

He already has almost 900,000 followers on Instagram and his good looks have been widely compared to that of David Beckham.

However, the teacher-come-model says he tries not to let the attention go to his head saying that people "think he is too beautiful to ever take it seriously."
