A medic dubbed the 'hottest doctor alive' has been dubbed a hypocrite for celebrating his birthday by partying on a boat with maskless revellers.
Footage shows Mikhail Varshavski, who is known as Dr Mike, going against his own advice as he partied on board the boat in Sunset Harbour with bikini-clad women.
Dr Mike, who was called the 'sexiest doctor alive' by People magazine in 2015, is surrounded by more than 12 people who are without facemasks and fail to socially distance.
The footage also shows Dr Mike giving a woman a neck message.
He is wearing a mask but she is not.
In July Dr Mike told Fox Business that wearing a mask decreases the spread of this virus and that is of "utmost importance" for people’s health and the economy.
He said: “So please, if you’re going outside in public and going to be around other people, wear a mask.
“By wearing a mask, you are essentially limiting the spread to the community. So, if you see someone wearing a mask, you should really be thanking them.”
Dr Mike has a total of 10 million fans on Instagram, Facebook and his own YouTube channel who have been left unimpressed by his actions.
On his YouTube video ‘Doctor Fact-Checks Media on Coronavirus’ one user commented: “This aged well!”.
Another fan posted on Reddit: "I know it's your life and you can do what you want, but you have chosen to be a public figure.
"And because of that, and your profession, you are held to a higher standard.
"You are supposed to be the example. I admired and respected you. Now that is all lost."
A third person commented: “I feel totally lied to. His supporters gave him a platform to spread his Covid awareness, I feel like he can at least address this blatant hypocrisy to us.”
Dr Mike amassed an army of fans when an image of him with his pet husky, Roxy, went viral in 2015.
Since then he has educated his fans by debunking medical myths, addressing mistakes in popular medical shows, and answering health related questions.
A spokesperson for Dr Mike told Inside Edition that the medic had adhered to all of the coronavirus guidelines and only 'took off his mask only when getting in and out of the water'.
