World's first Heinz Tomato Ketchup Pizza launched by Papa John's

Papa John's is swapping out its Californian tomato base for Heinz Tomato Ketchup on its new Hot Dog pizza.

The option, which went on sale on May 15, is said to be the pizza chain's "sauciest ever pizza".

The Hot Dog Pizza is topped with smoky Frankfurt sausage, white onions, mozzarella and Heinz yellow mustard.

What's more, they have also created a vegan version of it, the first time Papa John's have introduced a vegan meat substitute.

Giles Codd, UK Marketing Director at Papa John's said: "We're excited to launch our latest partnership with one of the nation's best-loved brands and use its iconic Heinz Tomato Ketchup as the base of our newest pizza.

“Ingredient innovation is at the heart of our menu and we have worked hard to ensure the 'The Hot Dog' is the perfect combination of each flavour. We're confident pizza lovers and hot dog fans will be wolfing it down in no time.

Audrey Dilmi, UK Foodservice Marketing Lead at Kraft Heinz said: "Heinz Tomato Ketchup has been always been a staple for both pizza and hotdog lovers, so it totally makes sense that our good friends at Papa John’s put it on their delicious Hot Dog pizzas!”

The pizzas are available to order now at www.papajohns.co.uk and in store, but be warned: they're available for a limited time only.
