World’s first Brussels Sprout Ketchup is here just in time for Christmas

There are two types of people in the world: those that couldn’t do Christmas without a bowl of Brussels sprouts on the table and those who would be happy to never see one of the little green balls again.

If you fall into the former category, then Christmas has come early. Amazon.co.uk has teamed up with condiment connoisseurs Sauce Shop to create the world’s first ‘Brussels Sprout Ketchup’.

Available on Amazon from December 2 and retailing at £3 a pop, each bottle will contain 15 sprouts blended with cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon to create a truly festive sauce.

Pam Digva, Co-Founder of Sauce Shop says: “Our limited-edition Brussels Sprout Ketchup is testament to the versatility of this highly nutritious, seasonal vegetable which has more vitamin C in one sprout than in an entire orange.

"It’s been a wonderful challenge to bring out the natural sweet, nutty flavour of the often misunderstood Brussels sprout and we’re very proud of our sauce.”

The UK-made 225g bottle is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans and is said to pair well with Christmas sandwiches or act as an alternative dipping sauce for Christmas party canapés.
