World's fattest man, Andres Moreno, dies of heart attack aged 38

The world’s fattest man, 38-year-old Andres Moreno died of a heart attack on Christmas Day.

Mr Moreno suffered a fatal heart attack as he was being rushed to hospital from his home in Ciudad Obregón in Sonora, Mexico.

Mr Moreno, who weighed 445 kilograms at his heaviest, was having difficulty in breathing when Family members decided to have him taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo reduced Mr Moreno to tears when he sent him a signed Real Madrid shirt in a bid to encourage him to lose weight and get healthy.

The signed shirt was sent to Mr Moreno shortly after he lost a staggering 266lbs naturally, according to the Metro.

The news of Mr Moreno's death comes only two months after he received extreme weight loss surgery.

The surgery involved removing three quarters of his stomach and reshaping what was left into a tube to “prevent him from eating too much”, the Medical Daily reported.
