World's biggest statue of Jesus looks just like Phil Collins

The huge 22 foot statue of baby Jesus has been put up in a church in Mexico, and some worshippers can't help drawing a comparison to the Genesis singer Phil Collins.

According to the Guinness World Records it could claim the "largest baby Jesus statue" accolade due to its height.

The likeness to Phil Collins, 68, is uncanny.

The singer had hits with In The Air Tonight and Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now).

Collins, who used to be the drummer in Genesis, and has gone on to establish a successful solo career, has been compared to the huge efigy.

Priest Humberto Rodriguez said he "never intended to make it the biggest baby Jesus statue."

Sculpted by Roman Salvador in the town of Guadalupe, it was only intended to "fit the church", the priest added.

He didn't want to comment on the accidental likeness to Collins, which people online were quick to point out.

Others suggest it bears a passing resemblance to the actor Nicholas Cage.
