World’s biggest Primark to open on Thursday - get a sneak peek

This week will see the world’s biggest Primark open its doors for the first time.

The megastore is in Birmingham and over five THOUSAND people are expected to turn up for the grand unveiling.

The store is set to open at 10am on Thursday April 11, reports Somerset Live.

The store was initially supposed to open early in 2018, before it was pushed back to Christmas 2018 due to construction delays.

In October it was announced that the delay would last longer, and in early 2019 it was confirmed that the shop would open in the spring.

Just two weeks ago the final opening date was announced, and there has been a huge buzz as we get closer to the momentous day.

The much-awaited shopping centre is called Primark Pavillions, with 160,100 sq ft of retail space.

The centre includes five floors of fashion, a new Disney-themed café, a hair salon, and nail and brow services.

The store will create more than 500 new jobs, though 430 employees are expected to transfer initially from an existing store in the area.
