World of Tanks: HEAT Agent tier list—Best ones to use (May 2026)

World of Tanks: HEAT has dropped with eight different Agents, and they determine how your tanks will operate. We get three of them for free, but we can unlock more using in-game credits.

Every Agent works with a specific tank (or two in some cases), so let’s check out those that appear to be the dominant names in the early beta.

Complete World of Tanks: HEAT Agent tier list

In World of Tanks: HEAT, Agents are divided into three categories based on their roles. We have a tank, an assault, and a marksman. Stick to their dominant roles, and you’ll excel with any Agent.

However, each of them also has a unique skill and a trait. To separate the Agents, I have used three different tiers.

  • S-tier Agents are among the best choices in the meta. They’re easy to use, and their abilities have the potential to help you stay competitive during a battle.
  • A-tier Agents are good choices who might take a bit longer for you to learn how to use. Alternatively, they might be situationally effective in specific game modes.
  • B-tier Agents are average choices at best. They’re either too confusing to use or they have better alternatives in their respective roles.

S-tier Agets

Agent Role Reason
Chopper Defender Chopper is one of the easiest characters to master, and he is available for free. You can pair him with either the M1E1 or the FV4030 X.
His Ultimate does massive AoE damage, and it can force enemies to leave objectives to save themselves.
He also offers a buff against incoming damage when you’re trying to capture an objective.
Raketa Assault Raketa is an Assault Agent who has self-buffing abilities.
His Ultimate increases the DPS of his tank by accelerating the fire rate. The Tank can also escape with 1 HP if it gets taken down.
His Trait makes enemy tanks drop scraps. Picking up these tokens will allow you to heal your tank.
Hound Marksman While you can deal damage from range, aiming at the enemy for a few seconds reveals the critical spots. This can act like almost a cheat code if you can aim efficiently.
His Ultimate drops a massive guided missile that can destroy a tank in one shot (especially if it has already taken some damage).
Managing to destroy tanks with this missile will help reduce the cooldown. Additional enemies caught in the blast will have their locations disclosed.

A-tier

Agent Role Reason
Kent Assault Kent offers a lot of utility and fits into two tanks. His Ultimate is my favorite: a shorter lock results in a salvo of Hydra Rockets. A longer lock results in a homing Hellfire Missile that can one-shot squishy tanks.
His trait allows you to increase your base reload speed, but it gets debuffed if you land hits. This is the only reason I am putting him in the A-tier.
Ember Defender Ember is your best choice if you like to ram into enemies. Her Ultimate drops a massive bomb that can push back enemies. However, the inability to control the bomb is a weak point.
However, she can do a lot of damage by ramming into enemies.
Reaper Assault Reaper’s ultimate allows you to drop a guided napalm that can melt the strongest of tanks.
His unique trait helps you avoid getting one-shot if the tank has sufficient HP. It’s similar to Raketa’s trait (Raketa’s trait works better).

B-tier

Agent Role Reason
Fuzzer Marksman Fuzzer’s Ultimate and trait are situational.
His Ultimate marks an enemy and all surrounding allies. If the marked enemy isolates itself, the Ultimate becomes useless.
His trait removes all status effects, and not many Agents or tanks can do that.
Twister Assault His Lights Out Ultimate allows you to drag an EMP bomb that slows nearby enemies. You can also throw it to damage enemies.
You take less fall damage and reload quicker while boosting. Both his Ultimate and trait read nice on paper, but they’re not very useful in actual battles.
