If you’ve ever seen or heard of naked cyclists going around the capital, you’re not imagining things. The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) returns to London this Saturday when more than 1,000 participants from all across the country are set gather bike in hand.
The aim of the bike ride is to raise awareness of current issues, ranging from safety of cyclists to reducing global oil dependency. However, nudity is not mandatory. You may still enjoy the bike ride in underwear and fancy dress. Even better, there will be stations for body painting on the day, so you can look glamorous for the occasion.
Additionally, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester, Sheffield, and Southampton offer World Naked Bike Rides.
But let’s focus on the London one for now.
When is the World Naked Bike Ride London 2025?
This year's bike ride event is this weekend on June 14, as the ride's traditional date is the second Saturday in June.
Around the world, the WNBR is a protest movement that organises rides in cities. It brings attention to topics like preserving the environment, lowering reliance on oil, and ensuring the safety of cyclists on the road.
