Nate Silver has had his say on who will win the Champions League.

The world famous data analyst - named one of the hundred most influential people in the world for correctly calling the outcomes of both the 2008 and 2012 US elections - has created a data model on his Five Thirty Eight website that predicts the Champions League.

It is good news for Liverpool, with Silver's data model claiming they have a 29 per cent chance of winning the tournament - the most in the competition.

The Reds also have a 50 per cent chance of making the final.

Barcelona are second favourites, with a 27 per cent chance of winning the tournament and a 47 per cent chance of making the final.

Man City have a 23 per cent chance of winning the tournament and still a 40 per cent chance of making the final despite losing the first leg of their quarter-final to Spurs.

Spurs themselves have an eight per cent chance of winning the tournament and a 25 per cent chance of qualifying for the final.

Juventus have just a seven per cent chance of winning the competition and a 20 per cent chance of making the final.

Leading sports data analyst gives Premier League prediction - where Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United finish

Ajax have been given a five per cent chance of winning the tournament and a 15 per cent chance of getting to the final.

Manchester United's loss to Barcelona has given them under a one per cent chance of winning the tournament and a two per cent chance of making the final.

Similarly, Porto have under a one per cent chance of winning the tournament and a one per cent chance of reaching the final.
