World famous sports analyst predicts Premier League finish - where Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea end up

Manchester City have a 56 per cent chance of winning the Premier League.

That's the opinion of Five Thirty Eight , a website created by Nate Silver.

Silver was named one of the world's 100 most influential people after correctly calling the outcomes of the 2008 and 2012 US elections.

Yet his background is actually in sports data, and he has created a model to predict who comes where in the Premier League.

It is good news for City, who are predicted to finish top of the table - although they would only be ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.

City have been rated as 56 per cent likely to win the title, in comparison to Liverpool's 44 per cent.

Elsewhere, Spurs overcome their recent poor form to finish third - they have an 81 per cent chance of making the top four.

Manchester United given big transfer boost; Future of Chelsea star unclear despite impressive loan spell; Manchester City handed transfer blow

Arsenal are tipped to finish above Chelsea to take fourth spot - they are predicted to finish level on points, but the Gunners are rated as 52 per cent likely to qualify for the Champions League in comparison to the Blues' 50 per cent rating.

Manchester United are tipped to finish three points behind Chelsea and Arsenal, and have been given just an 18 per cent likelihood of finishing in the top four.
