World famous pianist plays at Connolly Station, Dublin as unaware commuters pass by

A world famous pianist filmed herself playing at a public piano in Connolly Station, Dublin, as unaware commuters walk by.

Gabriela Montero, who played at the inauguration of President Obama as well as venues across the world, filled the Dublin train station with the complex sounds of Mozart.

Commuters walk idly by unaware of the presence of the south American musical genius.

The pianist and composer was on her way to play a concert in Belfast on Saturday night.

The musician wrote in a post on Twitter: "I'm no extrovert. I'd never played on a public piano because I'm a bit shy.

"But, because I practiced very little this morning before my flight, I sat down to practice at the train station in Dublin.

"My hands were freezing, I felt silly but I played Mozart."

She added: "I avoided Shostakovich."
