World Darts Championship 2019 results LIVE from Ally Pally: Follow all the action with full schedule at Alexandra Palace

Michael van Gerwen will take on Michael Smith in the final of the PDC Darts World Championship at Alexandra Palace.

Smith made a tremendous start and took a 2-0 lead, but Nathan Aspinall fought back to level at 2-2 and then again for 3-3.

But Smith was relentless in his scoring and clinched victory at the first attempt with a 121 checkout.

World No1 Van Gerwen, meanwhile, dispatched of world No2 Gary Anderson 6-1 and will be the favourite in the showdown on New Year's Day.
