World Cup TV schedule: When is Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women back on ITV?

Fans of ITV shows such as Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will be at a bit of a loss this week as all three have been cancelled for a number of days. The ITV daytime favourites have been replaced to make way for the coverage of the World Cup.

The 2022 tournament kicked off on Sunday and is being extensively covered across ITV and BBC with schedules being changed to accommodate the coverage.

England played their first game on Monday (November 21) which saw them storm to the top of the group with a 6-2 win over Iran. Wales also played their first game on Monday against the USA securing a draw in their first World Cup for 64 years.

It's unusual that the World Cup is being held during winter, so that coupled with the fact that Qatar is three hours ahead of the UK, means matches are set to kick off at 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm UK time during the group stage and 3pm and 7pm later in the knockout stage - ultimately meaning that TV schedules will be disrupted for a couple of weeks.

On Wednesday (November 23) coverage of the World Cup runs on ITV between 9am and 6:15pm. Good Morning Britain aired as usual but Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women were all pulled from the schedule.

However, on Thursday, Loose Women will return to its usual 12:30pm slot due to the World Cup coverage restarting at 3pm. However, Lorraine won't return as there is a stint of football coverage from 9am until 12.30pm. Then on Friday, all three shows are back in their usual slots.

It's not just the daytime TV that is affected. ITV's soap Coronation Street and Emmerdale will be broadcast at different times to normal with the programmes issuing a fresh guide to fans at the start of the week. Emmerdale will air from 7pm to 8pm on Wednesday (November 23) and Thursday (November 24). There will also be an episode shown from 6pm to 7pm on Sunday (November 27).

Meanwhile, Coronation Street will be on ITV from 8pm to 9pm on Wednesday (November 23) and Thursday (November 24). An extra episode will air on Sunday (November 27) from 7pm to 8pm.
