World Cup today: Germany and Netherlands seek opening wins after Scotland edge past Haiti

  • Scotland picked up a 1-0 win over Haiti on Saturday night, and there are four more World Cup matches scheduled for Sunday.
  • Germany will get the action underway when they face the smallest-ever nation to qualify for the World Cup, Curacao, in Houston at 6pm BST (1pm ET).
  • It will then be on to the Netherlands , who have a tricky test on paper against Japan in Dallas, with kick-off scheduled for 9pm BST (4pm ET).
  • The third game of the day will see Ecuador take on Ivory Coast in Philadelphia at 12am BST (7pm ET).
  • Finally, Sweden will play Tunisia in Monterrey, Mexico, and that match is due to begin at 3am BST (10pm ET).
