Karim Benzema has missed the entire tournament with a thigh injury - though, against the odds, reports have claimed that the Real Madrid star will be available for the final but this has been denied by the France camp.
Elsewhere for Les Bleus, Christopher Nkunku continues to miss out with a ligament tear in his knee, and Presnel Kimpembe's recovery from an Achilles tendon injury is slower than expected. Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot are expected to return, while Raphael Varane should also be fit after illness.
For Argentina, Lionel Messi has ruled out rumours that he is set to miss his final World Cup dance with a hamstring injury.
Angel Di Maria will have a late fitness test after suffering injury problems throughout the tournament, and full-backs Marcos Acuna and Gonzalo Montiel are both available after returning from suspension.
