World Cup Daily: Magnificent Mexico, forlorn France, and awesome Argentina

James Richardson's joined in the studio for this edition of World Cup Daily by Barry Glendenning (oh yes, he's back), Amy Lawrence, and Gregg Roughley to look back on a day of such exciting football even Greece scored.

We begin by analysing France's lacklustre defeat by Mexico. Has a team ever played less for their manager than Les Blues did for Domenech this evening? Your answers on a postcard, please.

Next up for the French of course is the hosts. Niren Tolsi from the Johannesburg Mail & Guardian tells us about the mood in South Africa now that Bafana Bafana's hopes of qualifying for the second round seem all but lost.

Also in the podcast, we purr over Argentina's demolition of South Korea in the day's early kick-off. Higuain may have got the hat-trick, but the game was all about the magnificence of Lionel Messi. But can Diego Maradona's men go all the way with such a poor back line?

Finally, we hear from Owen Gibson in Cape Town ahead of England's game with Algeria, and Raphael Honigstein brings us the latest from the Germany camp.

Tweet us, and we'll see you here tomorrow for what will have been our special live show in front of an audience. How exciting...

And if you want to watch Maradona juggling a ball to a bit of Eurodisco, look no further.
