World Cup 2022: Which teams have qualified for Qatar winter tournament so far?

World Cup qualification is reaching its conclusion as nations across the globe strive to book their place at the 2022 tournament, which is just over 12 months away now.

Next year’s edition - scheduled to take place between November 21 and December 18 - will be the first ever to be held in winter in order to avoid the searing summer temperatures of Qatar, with domestic seasons heavily disrupted.

The impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic means it will be just a 16-month gap between the climax of the European Championship and the next World Cup, while governing body Fifa now wants to make football’s biggest event a biennial affair.

Qatar automatically qualify for their first World Cup next year as hosts, while Germany’s 4-0 thrashing of North Macedonia on October 11 saw them become the first non-host to guarantee a finals place.

Below is an updated list of every team to have qualified for the 2022 World Cup so far...
