The United States women’s national team has looked unstoppable through two Women’s World Cup group stage matches in France, but the defending world champions will face their toughest test on Thursday against old rival Sweden.
USA vs. Sweden will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET on FOX and Telemundo.

Both Team USA and Sweden have already secured a spot in the knockout rounds, and the USWNT holds a massive edge on goal difference thanks to a 13-0 smackdown of Thailand.
- The USWNT will win Group F with a win or a draw against Sweden
- The USWNT will finish second in Group F with a loss
A loss wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing for the Americans – though they’ve stated that they aren’t looking to drop a game to create a potentially easier road to the final.
Should the United States win Group F, it would move on to play the runner up in Group B, which is Spain. A win against Spain could set up a showdown against host and tournament favorite France in the quarterfinals.
If the USWNT were to finish second in Group F, it would move on to play either the Netherlands or Canada, setting up a potential quarterfinal with Germany.
