World Cup 2018, Russia vs Saudi Arabia player ratings: Super sub Denis Cheryshev shines in 5-0 win

Host nation Russia thrashed Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the opening game of the 2018 World Cup.

Yuri Gazinskiy scored the opening goal of the tournament when he headed in Aleksandr Golovin's cross after just 12 minutes.

Substitute Denis Cheryshev then added a second before the break, while Artem Dzyuba added the third midway through the second-half.

Cheryshev grabbed a superb second with an outside-of-the-boot finish in injury time, before Golovin belted home a last-gasp free-kick. Below, we run the rule over both sets of players.
