World Cup 2018 - LIVE: England vs Panama reaction plus latest updates from Poland vs Colombia

Colombia are likely to have star man James Rodriguez back from injury as they look to quickly make up for their 2-1 defeat against Japan. Carlos Sanchez received an early red card for handball which led to Shinji Kagawa’s early goal from the spot. Colombia clawed the game back but ultimately lacked the creativity and composure that Rodriguez offers them in the final third.

Centre-back Kamil Glik has returned to full training can could start for Poland after they failed to put on a good display against Senegal in their 2-1 defeat.

This will be the first ever competitive match between the two sides and a win for either team will leave their opponents scrambling on zero points. Defeat for both teams is not an option. Whatever the result, it will be a fascinating and open game.

69 mins: Poland have a free kick, and it all gets a bit messy. Ultimately Colombia manage to get it clear and they can build again. Poland's best chance looks to be from a set piece, perhaps the only way they can get a delivery into Lewandowski
65 mins: Lewandowski on the left now trying to get a touch on the ball, Poland having slightly more possession but with little penetration
59 mins: Nearly an hour in and a long ball from defence finally gives Robert Lewandowski a chance. Ospina saves and has since gone down injured (again). Looks to have caught one in the ribs but is back on his feet and ready to continue
57 mins: Kownacki OFF, Grosicki ON in Poland's first change
56 mins: Colombia break again through Rodriguez, and Quintero has a shot blocked and out for a corner. It's cleared before Cuadrado sends a long range shot into row Z
52 mins: Someone tell Poland they need to score or they're out of the World Cup! Colombia with most of the chances early in the half, and even more dangerous on the break, as eventually Poland will probably decide to push bodies forward
49 mins: Finally a delivery for Lewandowski to latch onto, but it's behind for a goal kick
SECOND HALF: Colombia get us back underway, remember Poland MUST score if they are to stay in the World Cup
HALF TIME: Poland 0-1 Colombia
If things stay like this Poland are out of the World Cup! Yerry Mina with the Colombian goal, after a beautifully worked short corner. Colombia are deservedly ahead with much of the better play in that half, and Robert Lewandowski has found himself isolated again for Poland.
45 mins: Four added minutes at the end of the half, after Aguilar's injury, and Ospina's scare early on
40 mins: GOAL! Poland 0-1 Colombia (Yerry Mina)
I suggested earlier Colombia may be better off going short from corners, they must have been listening. A beautiful ball in from Rodriguez, leaving Mina to rise highest to head home.
37 mins: Cuadrado skips past two to earn his side a corner, and this time Ospina punches it clear. Wonderful skill from the Juventus winger.
33 mins: Cuadrado and Quintero combine well down the right earning Colombia a corner, can they do any better with this one than the last couple? No. Easily cleared again by Poland, perhaps a short corner may be a better option next time, as Poland pack the penalty area with height and strength
30 mins: Cuadrado has put a couple of good balls in the box, but Falcao marked by three defenders hasn't been able to get on the end of them. If Colombia could fill the box, those deliveries could be very dangerous.

Stoppage in play as Aguilar is stretchered off, and Uribe replaces him. An early blow for Colombia.
25 mins: Corner for Colombia as they break after Rodriguez is absolutely clattered by Pazdan in midfield. Poland clear it away, both sides getting little joy from set pieces so far
21 mins: There we had a good final ball, but like the rest of us when it eventually came no one was expecting it. Columbia moments earlier were one good pass from Falcao away from carving Poland open with a speedy counter
17 mins: This time it's Lewandowski on the end of a poor foul, and Sanchez is lucky to not find himself in the book
15 mins: The only thing missing from this frantic start is a real clear cut chance at goal. Both sides with some promising build up play, but the final ball eludes them
11 mins: Szczesny greeted with a huge wave of suspense as he goes to clear, and slices it into touch. The yellow wall of Colombian fans gives that the biggest cheer yet. Brilliant atmosphere.
9 mins: This looks to have all the signs of a real clash of the titans. Cuadrado looks lively on the right, and they have plenty of pace and trickery to test Poland

What time is it?

Poland vs Colombia kicks off at 19:00 at the Kazan Arena

Where can I watch it?

ITV will be showing live coverage on ITV 1 and online on the ITV Hub

Odds

  • Poland: 5/2
  • Colombia: 5/4
  • Draw: 12/5

Prediction

2-2. Colombia only know one way to play, and with Rodriguez back in the side they should be able to break through Poland’s defence. That said, Colombia will be exposed at the back and Robert Lewandowski will be itching to open his World Cup account.
