England are out of the World Cup after a dramatic, heart-rending extra-time defeat to Croatia in Moscow. A wonderful three-week journey to the final four was ended at the penultimate hurdle by Mario Mandzukic's late, late goal leaving a team and a nation back home wondering what might have been. Gareth Southgate's side have inspired supporters far and wide to fall back in love with their football team again but they will head home empty handed but only after Saturday's third place play-off against Belgium.
