Dele Alli has returned to England training a day before the World Cup clash against Panama at Nizhny Novgorod.
Alli suffered a minor thigh strain in Monday’s Group G opener against Tunisia and England boss Gareth Southgate rated the Tottenham midfielder as “unlikely” to feature on Sunday.
However, the 22-year-old took to the field on Saturday as England began their final preparations for their penultimate group match.
Alli carried out individual drills after joining the squad for a group warm-up in the open session at Spartak Zelenogorsk.
Despite returning to training, the youngster is still not expected to be handed a starting place for the match against Panama.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a firm favourite under Southgate, is set to fill the Tottenham midfielder's place.
