Uruguay against France: Uruguay's Nicolas Lodeiro gets sent off for fouling France's Bacary Sagna
With 10 minutes to go, Uruguay sub Nicolas Lodeiro receives the dubious honour of being the recipient of the first red card of the tournament after receiving his second yellow. If he hadn't already had a yellow he probably would have got a straight red for his stretching, late, dangerous and studs up challenge on Sagna

Uruguay against France: Thierry Henry claims for a penalty
With two minutes to go, the ball finds Thierry Henry on the left who hits a shot towards the goal but it hits Eguran on the stomach and then the arm. Henry, of all people, claims for a penalty. The referee quite rightly doesn't give one Photograph: Helmut Fohringer/EPA
Uruguay against France: Thierry Henry free kick hits the Uruguay wall
Then, deep in injury time Henry gets another chance to win the game when France are gifted a free kick on the edge of the area following a Diego Lugano foul. Fortunately for Uruguay Henry unleashes a feeble effort which hits the wall

Uruguay against France: France's Thierry Henry & Franck Ribery are dejected as they leave the pitch
Thierry Henry and Franck Ribery seem dejected as they leave the pitch following the final whistle. So they should as France really should have made more of an effort to win the game especially playing the last 10 minutes with a one man advantage. Even though the game finished 0-0 it wasn't a bad game, it was just a bit uninspiring and lacked the cut and thrust as well as the excitement of today's previous game
