'World class!' - Nicolas Pepe and Wilfried Zaha get Arsenal fans talking after Ivory Coast goal

Nicolas Pepe may not have hit top form at Arsenal just yet, but he has got Gunners fans talking this evening (Sunday) after scoring for Ivory Coast.

The Gunners' record signing has scored just once in ten games in all competitions for Arsenal since arriving from Lille this summer in a club record deal, with Pepe yet to hit the heights of his spell in Ligue 1.

But his international team-mate Wilfried Zaha, who was linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, has urged Gunners' fans to show patience with record signing Nicolas Pepe.

Speaking about his early season form with Arsenal, Zaha told the BBC : "I see the social media, I see everything and it's a thing where he needs time. He's come from another league, he's young.

"There's this price tag that he has not put on himself, people have put that on him because of his performances, so you've got to give him time for him to reproduce that, it's not going to come like that.

"I have got nothing but faith in him, I've got confidence that he will produce the same thing that he did before, because we both play for Ivory Coast, I've seen the talent he's got, but not everyone sees it."

And the pair have combined this evening for a goal for Ivory Coast in their international friendly against DR Congo.

The Crystal Palace star showed some fancy footwork to get past a couple of defenders in the box, before supplying the assist for Pepe to finish from close range with a flicked finish.

Unsurprisingly, the goal has got some Arsenal fans talking on social media this evening, after the Gunners had a bid turned down by Palace in the summer for Zaha.

Here's what some Gunners fans have been saying.
