With one week to go until this year's World Book Day many of the UK's biggest retailers have released fancy-dress collections aiming to inspire shoppers.
Traditionally many schools across Merseyside encourage their pupils to dress up at their favourite storybook character such as Paddington Bear, Where's Wally, Harry Potter, Little Red Riding Hood.
However, the event can cause parents to break out in a cold sweat if they only remember at the last minute that their little one is supposed to be dressing up for school the next day.
So just be clear, this year's World Book Day takes place on Thursday, March 7.
Supermarket giant Asda has even reduced the price of some of its outfit ideas, meaning prices start from £8.
Its range has been designed for all ages - from babies right up to adult pieces for both men and women.
Aldi is currently selling World Book Day costumes for less than £5. The items went on sale last week as part of its Specialbuys.
