World Book Day 2021 - send us your photos

It might be a bit different this year, but World Book Day is here again and we want to see your fabulous creations.

While many key worker and vulnerable children will be dressing up for nursery and school on Thursday, others will joining in the fun virtually from home.

Some schools have even rearranged the event until next week, once all pupils are back in class.

However your child's school or nursery is marking the worldwide celebration of books and reading, which is this year celebrating its 24th anniversary, we'd love to see your photographs.

We saw some brilliant creations last year, including April Prendergast's daughter Rosie, from Edgworth Primary School, in Turton, Bolton, who dressed up as a very happy Little Miss Sunshine.

It was no easy task for April, who made the costume with a 36-inch balloon, then papier mache made from flour, water PVA glue and newspapers.

She then used yellow spray paint and black marker pen, before cutting out the holes for the body, head, arms and legs.

But whether you've made your own, bought a costume from the shop, or thrown something together at the last minute - we've all been there - share the result with us so that we can include it in our bumper online gallery.

Use the form here to send them direct to us, or fill it out below.

If you share the image with us on Facebook then don't forget to tell us what character your child has dressed as and, if you're happy to share the information, tell us their name, where your child is from and the name of their nursery or school.
